The distribution of 15,675 teaching and learning materials to public primary schools in Lagos marks a significant step forward in enhancing the quality of basic education in Nigeria. This initiative, led by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) in collaboration with the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), aims to equip schools under the Renewed Hope agenda, focusing on improving educational outcomes.
The materials distributed include textbooks, instructional guides, and teaching aids designed to support both teachers and students. This initiative addresses the chronic shortage of educational resources that has long hindered learning in public schools. "These materials are crucial for our educators and will significantly improve the learning experience for our children," stated Abiola Afolabi, Executive Secretary of LASUBEB.
