In a significant policy shift, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu announced the rebranding of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) into a National Development Scheme, aiming to enhance youth engagement in national development. Under the new structure, the corps will be led by a civilian Director-General and supported by four executive directors, one of whom will focus specifically on security services.
