In a strategic move to bolster agricultural productivity, the Plateau State Government has procured 500 truckloads of fertiliser, significantly reducing the price to ₦20,000 per bag. This decisive action is aimed at alleviating the financial burden on farmers amid rising input costs, ensuring food security in the region.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang highlighted the initiative, stating, "Our administration is committed to empowering farmers and ensuring that they have access to affordable agricultural inputs." This procurement not only addresses immediate financial challenges but also aims to enhance crop yields and overall agricultural output, which are crucial for the state's economy.
