Farmers in Ogun State have rallied behind Governor Dapo Abiodun, reaffirming their trust in his agricultural policies amid growing concerns of external pressures and blackmail tactics. The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) convened in Abeokuta to discuss the state’s agricultural initiatives, which they believe are effective and beneficial to their livelihoods. This show of support comes as some factions attempt to undermine the governor’s efforts by spreading misinformation.

AFAN's chairman, Adeola Adebayo, emphasized the unity among farmers, stating, “We will not be swayed by those who seek to create division for their selfish interests. Our focus remains on development and productivity.” This statement highlights the farmers' resolve to move forward, undeterred by threats aimed at destabilizing the agricultural sector.

Abiodun’s administration has introduced various programs aimed at improving crop yields and enhancing access to markets, which farmers credit for recent successes in the sector. As Ogun State looks to strengthen its agricultural framework, the commitment of farmers suggests a collaborative path forward, positioning the region as a potential agricultural hub in Nigeria.
