Members of the Ofagbe Technical College Old Students Association (OTCOSA) are advocating for increased alumni engagement to enhance support for their community in Lagos. This call comes as the association aims to drive development initiatives that benefit current students and strengthen the bonds among former students.
During a recent meeting, OTCOSA Lagos Zone Chairman, Ayodeji Ake, emphasized the need for unity and active participation, stating, "Our collective strength lies in our ability to rally together for the betterment of our school and its students." The association has been pivotal in providing scholarships, mentorship, and resources for students, but Ake’s remarks underscore a growing concern that without a robust alumni network, these efforts may falter.
As OTCOSA looks to implement new programs and outreach strategies, the challenge remains to encourage alumni participation beyond mere financial contributions. The future of the association depends on fostering a culture of involvement, ensuring that past graduates play a vital role in shaping the next generation of leaders from Ofagbe Technical College.
