In a significant move to bolster Nigeria's workforce, the federal government has launched a vocational and skills acquisition training program aimed at benefiting 18,000 artisans across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. This initiative, spearheaded by the National Social Investment Program Agency (NSIPA), reflects a growing recognition of the need for practical skills in an economy grappling with high unemployment rates.
The training will take place across 229 centers, targeting a diverse range of skills that cater to both traditional and emerging industries.
