In a significant crackdown on educational fraud, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has uncovered a fake university in Lagos, rescuing 106 students misled by the promise of foreign admission. The NSCDC's investigation revealed that the institution operated without accreditation, offering degrees that held no value. Students reported being lured by advertisements and false testimonials, leading them to invest their savings in a fraudulent scheme. "We are committed to protecting the rights of students and ensuring that such fraudulent activities are eradicated," stated Olusola Afolabi, Public Relations Officer of NSCDC.
