In a significant response to the recent rainstorm devastation in Oyo State, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has mobilized relief materials to assist affected communities in Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, and Iwajowa. This initiative aims to alleviate the hardships faced by families displaced or impacted by the severe weather conditions.
The rainstorm, which struck in April, caused substantial damage to homes and infrastructure, prompting urgent calls for assistance from local leaders. NEMA's distribution of food items, medical supplies, and shelter materials underscores the government's commitment to supporting vulnerable populations in crisis situations. "We are here to ensure that no one is left behind; our priority is to restore hope and stability to the affected communities," stated Abubakar Suleiman, NEMA’s Director of Disaster Management.
