In a strategic move to enhance industrial operations, the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC) has partnered with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) to supply a dedicated 10MW of electricity to the Nigerian Oil and Gas Park in Odukpani, Cross River State. This initiative aims to address the persistent energy challenges faced by industries in the region, fostering a more conducive environment for investment and growth.

The partnership signifies a commitment to boosting local production capabilities in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. NDPHC's Managing Director, Chiedu Ugbo, emphasized the importance of reliable power supply, stating, “This project will not only support the park’s operations but also stimulate economic growth in the entire region.” The collaboration is expected to stimulate job creation and attract more investors to the park, which aims to serve as a hub for oil and gas-related businesses.

Looking ahead, this project could set a precedent for future public-private partnerships in Nigeria's energy sector, potentially paving the way for more sustainable industrial development across the nation.
