The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and Renaissance Group have launched an oil and gas readiness training program for 300 Nigerians. This initiative is designed to enhance local expertise and reduce reliance on foreign professionals in a sector critical to the country’s economy.
The program will focus on equipping participants with essential skills in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineering, tailored to the demands of the oil and gas industry. Such training is timely, considering the sector's ongoing push for localization amidst global energy transitions. “This training will empower our youth and ensure they are adequately prepared for the challenges of the industry,” said Simbi Wabote, Executive Secretary of NCDMB.
