The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has ramped up its campaign against terrorism in the North-West region, conducting targeted airstrikes that have reportedly destroyed key strongholds of armed groups and neutralised numerous insurgents. This offensive comes amid rising concerns over the persistent threat posed by banditry and terrorism, which has plagued communities in the area, disrupting lives and economic activities.
In a series of intelligence-led operations, the NAF has demonstrated a strategic focus on dismantling the operational capabilities of these groups. Brigadier General Abubakar Adamu, NAF's spokesperson, stated, "These airstrikes are a testament to our commitment to ensuring the safety of our citizens and restoring peace in the region." As the military intensifies its efforts, there is an increased reliance on intelligence gathering to enhance the effectiveness of operations.
