The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has opened the portal for candidates to print their slips for the 2026 Mop-Up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), scheduled for June 13. This development comes after a series of logistical challenges faced during the initial exams, prompting the need for a supplementary test to accommodate students who were unable to participate.
Candidates can now access their examination details, including centers, dates, and times, through the JAMB portal. This step is crucial for ensuring that all eligible candidates have the opportunity to gain admission into Nigerian universities. “We are committed to providing a fair chance for every student,” said Dr. Ishaq Oloyede, JAMB's Registrar. He emphasized the importance of transparency and accessibility in the examination process.
As the exam date approaches, stakeholders are urged to monitor the portal closely to avoid last-minute complications. The successful execution of this mop-up UTME could significantly influence the admission landscape for the upcoming academic year, reflecting JAMB's responsiveness to the needs of students amid ongoing challenges in the education sector.
