Gombe State's All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially endorsed Jamilu Gwamna as its consensus governorship candidate for the upcoming elections, signaling a strategic move to unify party support ahead of a competitive political landscape. This endorsement follows intense negotiations among party stakeholders, aiming to consolidate power and present a formidable challenge to opposition parties.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya, who will also seek a senatorial seat for Gombe North, emphasized the importance of unity within the party. "Our endorsement of Gwamna reflects our commitment to a common goal: delivering progress and development to the people of Gombe," he stated. This decision underscores the APC's strategy to leverage Yahaya's incumbency while positioning Gwamna as a fresh face capable of galvanizing voter support.

As the election date approaches, the APC's ability to maintain internal cohesion will be critical. With Gwamna's background as a former commissioner and local government chairman, he brings administrative experience, but he will need to effectively address pressing issues such as education and healthcare to resonate with voters. The party's focus will be on mobilizing grassroots support to ensure a successful campaign in what promises to be a fiercely contested electoral battle.
