As the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations approach, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has mobilized over 210 personnel in Anambra State to enhance road safety and traffic management during this festive period. Given the surge in vehicular movement typically associated with such holidays, the deployment underscores the agency's commitment to mitigating road accidents and ensuring the safety of travelers.

The FRSC’s special patrol operations will include monitoring key highways and providing real-time assistance to motorists. The initiative comes amid rising concerns over road safety, especially during festive seasons when traffic volumes increase dramatically. "Our goal is to ensure that all road users have a safe and enjoyable journey during this period," stated Chidiebere Nwankwo, the Sector Commander of FRSC Anambra.

Looking ahead, the success of this initiative could set a precedent for similar operations in future holidays. With ongoing efforts to promote road safety, the FRSC’s proactive stance may also inspire other regions to adopt similar measures, potentially reducing accident rates nationwide. As festivities unfold, the focus remains on public safety and responsible road use.
