The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is set to revolutionize domestic air travel by implementing a facial recognition system known as V-Pass, effectively phasing out physical identification methods. V-Pass will allow travelers to access airport facilities without the need for traditional IDs, streamlining the boarding process and reducing wait times. FAAN's move reflects a growing trend in aviation towards digital solutions, with various countries already adopting similar technologies to improve security and operational efficiency. “This system will not only increase security but also provide a smoother travel experience for our passengers,” stated Rabiu Yadudu, Managing Director of FAAN.
